Prince George’s Holiday Trash Collection Schedule

Prince George’s County will collect trash as follows:
4th of July – Holiday – no trash collection
5th of July – Wednesday – Tuesday trash day collection
6th of July – Thursday – Wednesday trash day collection
7th of July – Friday – Thursday trash day collection
8th of July – Saturday – Friday trash collection

Trash Collection will resume its regular schedule on the 10th of July.

Prince George’s County Government to Close for Independence Day

Prince George’s County government offices, with the exception of public safety agencies, will be closed on

Tuesday, July 4, 2017, in observance of Independence Day.

TheBus, a public transit service operated by the Prince George’s County Department of Public Works and Transportation (DPW&T), will not operate on Tuesday, July 4, 2017.  In addition, the County’s Call-A-Bus service, including dialysis transportation, will not operate on Tuesday, July 4, 2017.  Regular route services will resume on Wednesday, July 5, 2017.

 

The Department of Permitting, Inspections, and Enforcement (DPIE) will be closed on Tuesday, July 4, 2017. Regular business hours will resume on Wednesday, July 5, 2017.

 

Prince George’s CountyClick 3-1-1 will be closed on Tuesday, July 4, 2017, and will resume regular operations on Wednesday, July 5, 2017.  However, residents can still submit service/issue requests online at www.countyclick311.com/.

As the summer heat begins, it is important to stay cool and hydrated. When the National Weather issues a Heat Advisory, Excessive Heat Watch, Excessive Heat Warning, or Air Quality Alert of Orange or greater, the following public buildings are open during regular business hours for use by residents:

2017 Graduation Ceremonies at The Show Place Arena

The Show Place Arena will be hosting graduation ceremonies from Friday, May 19th through Thursday, June 8th. Please be advised that there may be traffic congestion in and around the Town of Upper Marlboro, including getting to and from the County Administration Building (CAB). Please plan accordingly.
